Role description
Position Overview:
The Business Analyst 3 supports mission-critical Operational Technology systems that enable real-time control and monitoring of Clientβs transmission network. This role partners with business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to analyze operations, identify process gaps, and deliver strategic improvements that enhance system reliability, efficiency, and organizational maturity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering sessions, and process workshops.
Analyze current and future state processes; conduct gap and maturity assessments (e.g., ITIL, CMMI, P3M3).
Develop business and functional requirements, user stories, process flows, use cases, and test documentation.
Facilitate Agile/Lean improvement initiatives and support change management efforts.
Perform data analysis, root cause analysis, and impact assessments to inform decision-making.
Create executive dashboards, performance metrics, and decision-support documentation.
Support strategic initiatives, asset strategy efforts, data calls, and regulatory documentation.
Collaborate with SMEs to evaluate solution alternatives and balance technical tradeoffs.
Draft and recommend deliverables including process maps, workflow diagrams, project plans, and change management plans.
Required Qualifications:
Associateβs degree with 10+ years, Bachelorβs degree with 8+ years, or 12+ years of directly related business analysis experience.
Strong experience in requirements management, process modeling, and stakeholder facilitation.
Proficiency with Visio, MS Project, Access, and SharePoint.
Excellent analytical, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in software development or electric utility environments.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci).
Experience supporting large-scale organizational change initiatives.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to pass a Public Trust (SF-85P) background investigation.
Valid U.S. Driverβs License.
Up to 10% travel; occasional overtime.
