CBTS is currently searching for a Business Analyst with Financials background and strong SQL Skills. The Business Analyst serves as a liaison between IT, Operations and the business line to analyze non-standard business and user needs, document requirements, and resolve complex system problems. Coordinates development and support for new and existing applications and data feeds. Possesses a sound understanding of business systems and industry requirements. Acts as a team leader for assigned projects. Partners with the business unit to develop a solid knowledge base of the business line, including the business plan, products, and processes. Coordinates business requirements definition, development, testing, implementation and support for new and existing systems. Oversees enhancements in order to maintain productivity and efficiency. Possesses a sound understanding of business systems, compliance and industry requirements. Works with programmers and users to ensure accuracy of enhancements. Reviews operational procedures and methods and recommends changes for improvement with an emphasis on automation and efficiency. Provides input into the creation of detailed project plans, work assignments, target dates and their aspect of assigned projects. Partners with the technical areas in the research and resolution of system and process problems. Identifies, researches, and analyzes production problems develops solutions, and resolves problems. Works with programming resources (in house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specification. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. Achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
May perform some aspects of Project Management including but not limited to Approval gathering, Readiness Assessments, and other artifacts and controls. Other duties as required.
ONSITE 5 days a week in Cincinnati, OH 45227 β 12+ month Contract w/ext. - $68/hr W-2
Responsibilities:
β’ Ability to work independently, meet with line of business and ask questions to gain an understanding of their requirements. Critical thinking skills would then take those requirements and break them down into the lowest level what so that functional design can be completed.
β’ Ability to create visual representations of business and data processes to understand and analyze workflows.
β’ Skills in identifying inefficiencies and implementing changes to optimize processes.
β’ Ability to collaborate with team members that are more technical and communicate those requirements in a way that allows the tech team members to understand them and determine the proper technical design.
β’ Ability to create clear and complete Test Acceptance criteria and execute the testing to ensure accurate output during Unit and UAT.
β’ Capable of creating and executing SQL scripts for ETL/data testing.
β’ Conduct research and Development based on current trends and technologies related to the banking industry, data engineering and architecture, data security, and related topics.
β’ Provide Support and troubleshooting for data platforms.
β’ Plan and work on internal projects as needed, including legacy system replacement, Monitoring and analytics improvements, tool Development, and technical documentation.
β’ Provide guidance and mentoring for other team members.
β’ Manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
Minimum Requirements:
β’ Bachelor's degree in business/technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Strong communication skills- Must be able to communicate ideas both verbally and in writing to management, business and IT sponsors, and technical resources in language that is appropriate for each group.
β’ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills when resolving data related issues or designing new solutions

β’ Experienced in SDLC and can assist in Project Management. Able to understand release management protocols and manage important tasks for implementation.
