Role description
Business Analyst/Product Analyst - Gas Operations Agile Release Train Location: Remote (Working Eastern Time Zone hours) Duration: 12-month contract to start with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion • We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Analyst / Product Analyst to support the Gas Operations team within the Gas Innovation Agile Release Train (ART). This role requires a high-energy, self-motivated professional who can quickly ramp up and contribute in a fast-paced Agile environment. • The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Azure DevOps (ADO), backlog management, and Agile delivery, along with a solid understanding of business systems and industry requirements-preferably within the utilities sector. Key Requirements • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), including backlog management and support (required) • Experience in the utilities industry (required) • Familiarity with SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) or similar operational systems (highly preferred) • Experience working in a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment (preferred) • Proven ability to collaborate across business, product, and technical teams Role Responsibilities • Partner with business stakeholders, product managers/owners, and technical teams to gather and refine requirements • Elicit, document, and maintain requirements in the form of epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria within ADO • Facilitate meetings and workshops with cross-functional teams, including business, design, and development • Analyze and document current and future state (As-Is / To-Be) business processes, including system inputs, outputs, and integrations • Support backlog grooming, prioritization, and ongoing backlog maintenance • Ensure traceability across requirements, test cases, and defects throughout the development lifecycle • Participate in and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect tracking and root cause analysis • Validate that delivered solutions align with defined business needs and acceptance criteria • Assist in the development of training materials and provide product support to business users • Collaborate with design teams during discovery phases to define user requirements and solution approaches • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving internal controls, operational efficiency, and client service • Support RFP efforts, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and solution demonstrations • Assist with business case development, feasibility studies, and analysis for technology initiatives • Perform additional duties and project support as needed About the Environment • This role operates within a highly collaborative Agile environment, supporting critical gas operations systems.
