Business Analyst

Title: Business Analyst III Location: Lansing, MI (position begins fully onsite before transitioning to Hybrid schedule) Note: This is a W2 contract role – 1099, C2C, & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered The Business Analyst is responsible for gathering and documenting clear, unambiguous, and testable business requirements from the client, and understanding the business requirements thoroughly in order to communicate business need and system functionality to technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community. The Business Analyst serves as the Scrum Master (heavy usage of Azure DevOps tool) on projects and coordinates with the PMO’s Project Manager for artifacts/documentation. Position Responsibilities: · Documenting business requirements that are clear, unambiguous, testable, and satisfy the business need in accordance with standard templates and adherence to policies, standards, and guidelines · Facilitating requirement gathering meetings to identify impacted business processes and document the project business requirements · Adhering to the project schedule by developing and maintaining the project backlog during Agile projects and working with the Product Owner to set priority throughout the duration of project · Understanding project scope and actively monitoring requirements process to maintain adherence to the objectives set for the project · Understanding high-level information governance objectives and ensuring appropriate stakeholder inclusion and/or awareness regarding data requirements · Managing appropriate resolution of critical IT issues · Providing information and analysis for Build vs. Buy project decisions · Understanding project specific benefits and related impact of changes to project scope or business requirements · Ensuring SEM (system engineering methodology) deliverables for the project are completed, reviewed, and approved in alignment with area processes · Working directly with project teams, including User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) Solution Architects, Database Administrators, Developers, QA Testers, and others to ensure understanding of requirements, functionality, size, and scalability of the IT solution Position Qualifications: · 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst · 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance · 3 years of experience in Azure DevOps or a similar tool like JIRA, with comfortability creating epics / features / user stories for projects, as well as moving cards through the project lifecycle · 3 years of experience with BA, QA, and DEV role responsibilities, including experience using BA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio, etc.) · 3 years of experience with as-is / to-be processes, content creation, and experience creating product roadmaps · 3 years of experience with Project Management Methodologies / Agile · A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, or other related field required Note: This is a W2 contract role – 1099, C2C, & 3rd party candidates WILL NOT be considered
