Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Tallahassee, FL that is seeking a Business Analyst. Overview: We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong requirements engineering and quality assurance documentation experience to support human resources (HR) workflow automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of six (6) years of professional experience in business analysis, requirements development, and QA activities within environments such as workflow automation, human resources systems, or state government applications. The candidate must be capable of clearly articulating prior experiences using business analysis tools and methodologies that led to successful, customer-focused outcomes. Responsibilities:
β’ Coordinate the development of project schedules, implementation plans, and documentation for HR automation releases; present materials to management, customers, and technical teams
β’ Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts with HR stakeholders and coordinate with impacted groups (e.g., Budget Office) to validate system performance
β’ Oversee testing strategies, data scenarios, and detailed test plans to ensure functional requirements are met
β’ Analyze information from multiple sources and synthesize findings into executive-level summaries and detailed supporting materials
β’ Develop standardized desk procedures including purpose, prerequisites, process flows, and narrative descriptions of business processes
β’ Manage user stories, product and sprint backlogs, and actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies using Azure DevOps
β’ Produce deliverables such as project schedules, implementation plans, business requirements, functional specifications, QA plans, and UAT artifacts
Requirements
β’ Strong knowledge of HR business processes and government workflow practices
β’ Ability to create clear, complete functional and process documentation
β’ Expertise in analyzing and defining workflows to improve system efficiency
β’ Proven experience eliciting, documenting, and validating system requirements
β’ Knowledge of relational database concepts
β’ Experience testing complex applications and validating requirements
β’ Strong organizational and prioritization skills in iterative delivery environments
β’ Ability to produce accurate estimates for analysis and QA tasks
β’ Experience collaborating with project managers, developers, architects, and analysts
β’ Proficiency creating functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
β’ Experience designing test plans, test cases, and test data
β’ Strong verbal and written communication skills
β’ Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
β’ Experience with workflow automation, HR systems, or government administrative applications
β’ Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and the SCRUM framework
Preferred
β’ Azure DevOps experience for backlog, sprint, and test management
β’ QA review experience ensuring adherence to standards
β’ Experience with state government HR, payroll, or position management systems
β’ Data analysis and data validation experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
