Role description
Business Analyst – Capital Markets W2 Opportunity, NO C2C Onsite in New York, NY 10019 from Day 1 (Client prefers only local candidates) Hybrid Schedule: 3 Onsite Days (Tue, Wed, Thur) & 2 Remote Days (Mon, Fri) Long term contract Direct client opportunity No Mid Layer / No Implementation partners are Involved Job Description: Core Responsibilities: • Work with business partners to identify opportunities and define goals for various initiatives. • Play a key role in articulating detailed requirements and acceptance criteria. • Coordinate across business, user experience and technology teams to drive delivery. • Prepare detailed specifications and supporting documents to guide development teams as needed, including assisting in designing and reviewing test cases. • Meet deadlines and communicate delays in a timely manner. • Collaborate with other teams within the organization on project work and to further best practices. Key Experience: • 3 plus years of experience in a business analyst, product owner, or user experience role. • Experience in an Agile setting writing user stories, acceptance criteria, epics and organizing the backlog according to the overall roadmap. • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact effectively with business stakeholders to understand the business and gather requirements. • Highly detail oriented with a strong ability to manage and execute simultaneous projects and tasks. • Self motivated, with a high level of initiative. • Ability to work efficiently and independently. • Proficiency in MS Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Skills Desired: • A degree in computer science, business or related fields. • Experience at an investment bank or other leading financial services firms. • Comfort working with ambiguity, managing and resolving complex issues. • Experience with SQL and tools such as Power BI to query data for analysis and visualization. • Experience leveraging AI tools to create business requirements and other documentation (GitHub Copilot, JIRAGEN, etc.) Important Note: • Manager is looking for someone who has experience working on end user applications, deal/client management systems and facing off with business stakeholders. • AML/KYC type of projects and data migration projects are more on the risk and gov side of data and client’s teams are working on end user data analytics solutions. • Hybrid 3 days in office and 2 days remote IBD and GCM Technology, a part of the wider IST Division, focuses on supporting the complex and evolving needs of two of the firm's most prestigious and market leading businesses, Investment Banking and Global Capital Markets. • Client’s group partners closely, at all levels within the business, to provide a wide variety of technology solutions including the management of highly sensitive data, content creation, real time electronic trading and data modeling. • Client’s group prides itself on the strength and diversity of client’s technologists that enable us to deliver front to back solutions to client business. • A good candidate will have a track record of strong business analysis and project management and experience working within an Agile framework. Pay Range: $65/hr - $70/hr The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
