Role description
Our client is seeking a technically strong Business Analyst to support legal and regulatory compliance-driven technology initiatives. This role focuses on translating complex regulatory requirements into clear functional and technical solutions, ensuring systems and processes meet compliance obligations while supporting business objectives. You’ll work closely with Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams in a highly regulated environment, with strong exposure to stakeholders, systems, and end-to-end delivery. Responsibilities: β€’ Serve as a Technical Business Analyst within the U.S. Compliance, Legal & Technology team, supporting enterprise compliance initiatives β€’ Lead requirements elicitation with U.S. and global Compliance stakeholders, capturing complex business processes, regulatory obligations, and control requirements β€’ Produce high-quality Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and supporting artifacts, including workflows, business logic, data flows, system dependencies, and regulatory controls β€’ Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to translate business and compliance requirements into scalable technical solutions β€’ Analyze system integrations, data flows, and upstream/downstream impacts to support effective solution design β€’ Identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, and automation across compliance systems β€’ Participate in Agile ceremonies, ensuring user stories are clearly defined, testable, and aligned with regulatory expectations β€’ Support QA and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defining test scenarios, executing tests, reviewing results, and providing business sign-off β€’ Collaborate with development teams to triage defects, perform root cause analysis, and validate fixes before release β€’ Assist with delivery oversight, including prioritization across offshore/onshore teams, issue escalation, and cross-team coordination β€’ Ensure full traceability across regulatory requirements, business requirements, technical design, testing, and release approvals β€’ Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and compliance validation efforts as needed β€’ Contribute to broader Central Compliance initiatives as the role evolves Required Qualifications: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field β€’ 5+ years of experience, preferably within financial services β€’ Strong technical analysis skills (systems, data, workflows) β€’ Proficiency in SQL and database querying β€’ Advanced Excel skills for data analysis β€’ Experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and Agile methodologies β€’ Ability to work with Windows/Linux environments and interpret system logs β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills β€’ Experience working with external vendors and cross-functional teams
