Overview
This Business Analyst role supports Sales and Finance over a 6 month engagement, focusing on revenue planning, forecasting accuracy, and performance tracking.
The position partners closely with senior leaders to deliver rigorous, data-driven insights that inform decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong economic and statistical foundations, works independently, and brings structure and clarity to complex revenue challenges.
Type: Contract, Remote (US only)
Schedule: Regular day hours
Duration: 6 months
Pay: $50 - $55/hr, paid weekly, benefits eligible
Business Analyst Duties
β’ Build, refine, and maintain forecasting models to support sales planning and revenue cycles.
β’ Develop and operationalize goaling models in partnership with Sales and Finance leadership.
β’ Design and implement scalable revenue tracking frameworks, including delayed revenue recognition.
β’ Create and manage spreadsheets, dashboards, and data systems for ongoing monitoring and reporting.
β’ Translate business requirements into quantitative analyses and actionable insights.
β’ Analyze trends, identify risks and opportunities, and clearly present findings to stakeholders.
β’ Document assumptions, methodologies, and processes to ensure continuity, transparency, and scalability.
β’ Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Strategy to align revenue performance with financial goals.
Business Analyst Requirements
β’ 5 to 8+ years of relevant experience, with a background partnering closely with Sales and Finance teams.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
β’ Demonstrated experience in business analysis, forecasting, or financial analytics through professional, contract, or internship work.
β’ Strong understanding of economic statistics, forecasting methodologies, and revenue analysis.
β’ Advanced proficiency in Excel and or Google Sheets; experience with SQL, R, Python, or Tableau is preferred.
β’ Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with a structured, problem-solving mindset.
β’ High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analyses to non-technical audiences.
