Job Summary: We are seeking a Business Analyst to support cross-functional project execution, communication development, and backlog management for a major financial services institution. This role requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to gather business requirements, support stakeholder engagement, and help drive internal initiatives forward. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable navigating a dynamic, fast-paced environment, and has experience with both business and technical teams. This is a 12-month contract position based in Pittsburgh, PA, with a hybrid work schedule requiring at least 2 days onsite per week. There is potential for extension or conversion. Key Responsibilities: • Support the creation and distribution of standard and special internal communications, including newsletters and content for town halls and forums • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and document business and functional requirements • Translate business needs into detailed user stories and backlog items, ensuring alignment with organizational goals • Collaborate with internal councils and teams to drive organizational change and process enhancements • Monitor and manage content updates on platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, and internal forums • Assist in metrics reporting and light data analysis to support internal governance and performance tracking Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree required (Finance or Accounting preferred) • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably in a financial services, compliance, or audit environment • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical teams • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail • Familiarity with data governance concepts and experience supporting reporting or metric tracking initiatives • Skilled in requirements gathering, backlog grooming, and stakeholder engagement Required Technical Skills: • Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables), Microsoft PowerPoint, and SharePoint • Confluence and Jira Preferred Experience: • Prior experience in banking, financial services, compliance, or auditing • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools • Exposure to internal communication channels and cross-functional project forums Why Join Us: This position offers the opportunity to work closely with diverse stakeholders across business lines and support impactful internal initiatives within a major financial institution.
