Role description
Business Analyst (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft. Summary This position offers an exceptional opportunity to serve as a strategic functional liaison supporting enterprise-level compensation and performance management solutions. Working at the intersection of business operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams, you will drive the delivery of critical HR initiatives that directly impact organizational rewards, promotions, and performance programs. This role requires a seasoned professional who can translate complex compensation policies and regulatory requirements into scalable, auditable solutions while ensuring seamless integration across enterprise systems. You will partner closely with Compensation Centers of Excellence, Engineering, Payroll, Finance, and Data teams to maintain data integrity, strengthen controls, and enhance operational efficiency. The position demands strong analytical capabilities, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to navigate complex system landscapes while maintaining focus on compliance and audit readiness. Job Responsibilities β€’ Lead requirements discovery, analysis, and documentation for compensation initiatives and promotion cycles β€’ Translate compensation policy, regulatory, and business needs into clear functional requirements and solution designs β€’ Partner with HR Compensation, Performance and Development, Engineering, Payroll, Finance, and Data teams to ensure end-to-end alignment β€’ Support solution design reviews, impact assessments, dependency management, and release planning β€’ Define User Acceptance Testing strategy including test scenarios, defect triage, and release readiness validation β€’ Ensure data integrity, controls, and audit readiness across compensation processes β€’ Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to reduce manual effort and operational risk β€’ Produce clear documentation, stakeholder communications, and decision-support artifacts β€’ Serve as primary functional liaison between Compensation Centers of Excellence and technical teams β€’ Deliver approved functional requirements and solution design documentation β€’ Conduct impact assessments and dependency analysis β€’ Create UAT plans, test scenarios, and defect summaries β€’ Provide release readiness and production support inputs β€’ Develop process improvement recommendations and supporting documentation Requirements β€’ Eight to ten years of relevant professional experience required β€’ Strong Business Analyst experience supporting HR-focused initiatives β€’ Solid background in compensation, rewards, promotions, and performance programs β€’ Experience working with enterprise HR systems β€’ Exposure to data flows within HR system landscapes β€’ Demonstrated solution management skills including stakeholder engagement β€’ Experience with solution design reviews and impact assessments β€’ Background in User Acceptance Testing strategy and execution β€’ Experience partnering with Business, Engineering, and cross-functional teams on Compensation and Performance matters β€’ Familiarity with audit and controls environments β€’ Understanding of Promotion, rewards, stock, and Performance Management programs β€’ Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting, or relevant field required β€’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail β€’ Customer service orientation and interpersonal effectiveness β€’ Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently β€’ Accounting and mathematical principles application β€’ Enterprise HR systems functional expertise with deep hands-on knowledge of HR platforms and configuration β€’ UAT strategy development and execution β€’ Understanding of how HR processes are configured, integrated, and governed at scale Additional Details β€’ Location: Remote β€’ Duration: 4 months β€’ Pay Range β€’ : $46.50 - $52 per hour β€’ Weekly Schedule: 40 hours β€’ Job Status: Non-Exempt β€’ Application Deadline: Apply within 72 hours of the posting date to ensure consideration.
