Role description
Duration: 4+ Months Location: MN-St. Paul, Hybrid 1-2 days onsite Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Business Analyst, you will join Turnberry's Data Strategy and Intelligence practice and service. This service provides insights into company data, advanced analytics solutions, robust data governance, and tailored solutions for specific data challenges. Responsibilities β€’ Business and Systems Analysis β€’ Assist QA leads in the creation and maintenance of Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) artifacts to ensure test coverage and alignment with requirements β€’ Create Business Requirements Specification (BRS) documentation to clearly define functional and non-functional requirements β€’ Facilitate requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders and end users β€’ Develop and refine wireframes to support solution design and requirements gathering β€’ Create current state process flow documentation and future state process maps β€’ Act as a bridge between business users, operations, and IT to define requirements and translate them into system solutions β€’ Analyze, assess, and recommend improvements to existing business systems and procedures β€’ Perform cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to support system decisions β€’ Identify redundancies, inefficiencies, and process gaps, recommend and implement process improvements β€’ Support contract renewals and vendor relationship management for enterprise systems β€’ Develop and write user documentation, training materials, manuals, and system guides β€’ Agile/Product Ownership β€’ Work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with development and QA teams β€’ Support and if necessary own Product Owner tasks, including define features, create and refine user stories, and manage backlogs β€’ Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize work and ensure delivery of business value β€’ Serve as a subject matter expert and advocate for users and stakeholders during the development lifecycle β€’ System Maintenance and Enhancements β€’ Review, test, and implement vendor-delivered system enhancements and upgrades β€’ Maintain foundation tables, security, and permission structures β€’ Support the creation, validation, execution, and documentation of test scripts and system modifications β€’ Ensure proper system integration with related applications β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve system issues post-implementation β€’ Reporting and Data Management β€’ Extract, manipulate, and analyze system data to support reporting and decision-making β€’ Create and maintain custom queries and data sets for analysis β€’ Integrate data with reporting tools to automate and improve reporting processes β€’ Provide guidance and training to users of reporting and data tools β€’ Leadership and Collaboration β€’ Provide expertise and guidance to stakeholders, project teams, and junior analysts β€’ Lead and coordinate interdepartmental initiatives and cross-functional projects β€’ Prepare and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables β€’ Collaborate with consultants and vendors; review deliverables and monitor quality β€’ Train and support staff on system usage, updates, and enhancements Qualifications β€’ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, MIS, or Economics β€’ Five (5) years of experience as Business Analyst or Systems Analyst β€’ Two (2) years of experience performing configurations, modifications, or enhancements within enterprise business applications β€’ Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, MIS, or Economics may substitute for two years of experience β€’ Experience with large, complex SaaS vendor implementations β€’ Experience with large transit initiatives β€’ Experience with large transformation initiatives β€’ Exceptional soft skills and emotional intelligence to navigate at multiple levels across the organization β€’ IIBA Certification β€’ Experience creating and maintaining dashboards in Power BI to support reporting and analytics β€’ Experience with Miro, Mural, Microsoft Whiteboard, and other collaboration tools β€’ Experience working in waterfall, agile, and hybrid delivery environments β€’ Strong knowledge of enterprise systems (e.g., HRIS, PeopleSoft Financials, or equivalent) β€’ Understanding of interdepartmental processes such as budgeting, procurement, HR, and finance β€’ Proficiency in business process improvement, workflow optimization, and change management β€’ Experience working in Agile environments and supporting Product Owner responsibilities β€’ Advanced analytical skills, including process mapping, data analysis, and metrics reporting β€’ Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, charts), Word, PowerPoint, Access, and database management β€’ Experience with SQL queries or similar reporting tools preferred β€’ Ability to develop and deliver clear documentation, training, and presentations β€’ Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels β€’ Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities in complex, ambiguous situations β€’ Ability to foster teamwork and promote an inclusive, respectful workplace culture The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $145,000 or the hourly equivalent.
