Business Analyst - Data Until Jan 2026 London Hybrid Inside IR35 Your role Are you passionate about how an organisation manages their data? Would you like to support advancing the enterprise data management objectives aligned to business objectives? Can you work effectively with remote teams within a global organisation? We are looking for a Business Analyst to: β€’ Work closely with Data Management, Business and IT teams to support development of the strategy and solution design for the Data Contracts capability β€’ Collaborate with Group Data Management Office (GDMO) colleagues, Business and IT teams to drive Data Contracts related capability enhancements (from requirements to implementation) using agile methodology β€’ Establish close partnership with business divisions and corporate functions - supporting them in Data Contracts adoption, and applying challenge if required to ensure GDMO standards and frameworks are adhered to Your team The Group Data Management Office (GDMO) is a global team of 300 people responsible for embedding a data management culture by advocating for our strategy and proactively challenging the way the firm works with data. This role sits within the Data Contracts service area in the DataOps team within GDMO. The Data Contracts team is responsible for efficient and effective governance over producer / consumer relationships, in relation to data. This includes the strategy, minimum standards, methodology, processes and tooling to support effective producer/consumer agreements on data transfers. Your expertise Required: β€’ Experience in Financial Services β€’ Proven track record working within a data related environment, particularly one involving business change delivery β€’ Proactive approach to managing workload, taking ownership of tasks and issues and seeing them through to completion within allotted timeframes β€’ Ability to effectively take concepts to pragmatic solutions β€’ Ability to apply a logical and detail-oriented analytical thought process to resolving issues β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills (presentation, interpersonal); Experience of distilling key messages for senior partners β€’ Attitude to challenge, influence and drive progress working with groups with differing priorities β€’ Team player attitude, comfortable working across a broad set of peers and as part of a distributed team β€’ Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment under tight timeframes β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools (MS Office, SharePoint, OneDrive) Desirable: β€’ Domain expertise in Financial Service areas (e.g. Investment Banking Private Banking, Wealth Management, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations) β€’ Expertise in Business Analysis, solution design and operating model definition β€’ Experience in implementing Data Contracts, Data Agreements or similar capability β€’ Familiarity with Enterprise Data Management Toolset (Collibra, DQIM, IDQ etc.) β€’ Working knowledge of data analytics tools and technology β€’ Working knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) This role is advertised Via Hays SM250806
