Business Analyst - Data

We are currently filling the following contract job for our client. Business Analyst - Data Join a dynamic team supporting enterprise-wide data initiatives in a high-impact, fast-paced environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on modernization and regulatory compliance projects with a focus on data requirements, modeling, and quality—making a tangible difference across the organization. If you possess a strong technical background, especially in SQL and Azure, and thrive in collaborative settings, we want to hear from you! Required Skills • Extensive hands-on SQL skills (candidates will be tested; basic SQL proficiency is essential) • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Power BI) • Strong knowledge of data profiling, data quality management, and metadata management • Ability to translate business needs into technical artifacts such as BRDs, FRDs, and user stories • Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills • Proficiency in data analysis, modeling, and validation techniques • Familiarity with data governance principles and best practices • Strong problem-solving, organization, and critical-thinking abilities Nice To Have Skills • Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data analysis • Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or similar visualization tools • Knowledge of financial instruments used in insurance or financial services • Certifications such as PMP, CBAP, or SAP are advantageous Preferred Education And Experience • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field • Minimum of 7 years as a Business Analyst, with at least 4 years in the insurance or financial services industry • Demonstrated expertise in data-centric project delivery, including data warehousing, data lakes, or migration projects • Experience working in contract, consulting, or project-based roles MissionStaff is an equal opportunity employer.
