Role description
Business Analyst | Manchester | Hybrid | Contract
We're working with a high-growth travel and logistics innovator on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a sharp, data-driven Business Analyst to own the requirement lifecycle for mission-critical systems, driving the transition from legacy tech to modern, scalable ecosystems using Jira, Miro, and BPMN.
This is a high-impact 6-month contract where you will shape ambiguous problem statements into high-quality Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) that directly influence global operations. You'll be the bridge between Engineering, Product, and Finance, ensuring every process improvement is backed by solid metrics like CSAT and First Contact Resolution (FCR).
The Role
• Own the end-to-end roadmap for core business capabilities, focusing on Finance modernisation, Analytics, and Agent Tooling.
• Lead the creation of comprehensive PRDs, including detailed as-is/to-be workflows, service blueprints, and functional user stories in Jira.
• Facilitate high-stakes discovery workshops across Product, Engineering, and Operations to drive consensus and formal stakeholder sign-off.
• Optimise the Order journey by identifying bottlenecks and defining success metrics such as Handling Time and First Contact Resolution.
• Direct the migration from legacy infrastructure to a centrally managed ecosystem, ensuring system efficiency and data integrity.
What You'll Need
• Proven track record as a Business Analyst delivering high-quality PRDs and technical requirements within an Agile framework.
• Deep proficiency with collaboration and modelling tools, specifically Jira, Confluence, Miro, and BPMN 2.0.
• Exceptional analytical rigour with the ability to translate complex business problems into structured data-backed recommendations.
• Strong stakeholder influence and facilitation skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams with minimal oversight.
• Experience with Order Management Systems (OMS), Contact Centre tech, or the Travel/Automotive sectors is highly desirable.
What's On Offer
• Competitive day rate of £70 - £75 per hour (Inside IR35).
• Initial 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extension based on project milestones.
• Flexible hybrid working model with just one day per week in the Manchester office.
• The opportunity to lead digital transformation for a major player in the travel and logistics space.
