Overview:
We're seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join an Agile development team supporting a high-impact enterprise financial software system and web application. Youβll work closely with stakeholders, UX designers, architects, developers, and leadership to deliver business capabilities and drive process improvements.
What You'll Do:
β’ Analyze requirements and document user stories for Agile sprints
β’ Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and cross-functional teams
β’ Convert business use cases into actionable tasks for development
β’ Organize, lead, and refine backlogs, epics, and sprints
β’ Facilitate stakeholder meetings to clarify requirements and priorities
β’ Maintain project documentation in JIRA, Confluence, and Portfolio
β’ Support process mapping and improvement initiatives
β’ Contribute to technical planning and execution with Architects and Tech Leads
β’ Deliver clear technical and business documentation including:
β’ User stories
β’ Requirements traceability matrices
β’ Data flow diagrams
β’ Use cases
β’ Wireframes/mockups
What Youβll Need:
β’ U.S. Citizenship (required for Public Trust clearance)
β’ Bachelor's degree
β’ 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst on Agile software development teams
β’ Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence
β’ Familiarity with Visio, Draw.io, or similar tools for process modeling
β’ Strong understanding of Agile SDLC and backlog management
β’ Excellent communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences
β’ Ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
β’ Detail-oriented and customer-focused
Nice to Have:
β’ Experience with federal government systems
β’ Familiarity with DevOps culture and tools
β’ Prior work in pilot phase or new system implementation
β’ Knowledge of information architecture, data governance, or cross-team coordination
β’ DMV-based and willing to be onsite as needed
