About The Role
Weβre looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in banking lending to support a new initiative focused on applying basic AI capabilities across the lending lifecycle.
This is not a technical AI role β itβs about using your lending expertise to help shape how automation and AI can support processes like credit assessment, document handling, or operational decision-making.
You'll be working with cross-functional teams across Lending, Credit, Operations, and Data to identify pain points, gather requirements, and help enable AI-driven solutions.
Experience Required
β’ Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in banking, with a strong focus on:
β’ Mortgages
β’ Personal or unsecured lending
β’ Commercial/corporate lending
β’ Strong understanding of the full lending lifecycle, including credit risk, decisioning, onboarding, servicing, and collections.
β’ Track record of delivering business change or transformation within lending environments.
β’ Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ While AI/ML knowledge isnβt required, you must be:
β’ Curious about emerging technology
β’ Able to understand and support the use of basic AI capabilities within business processes
β’ Comfortable collaborating with data and digital teams
β’ Experience with Agile delivery, JIRA, Confluence, and process mapping tools is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Analyse current-state lending processes and identify areas where AI could add value (e.g. automation, risk classification, document processing).
β’ Work closely with Product, Data, and Technology teams to define business requirements for AI use cases.
β’ Lead workshops with stakeholders across Lending, Credit, and Operations to gather insights and align goals.
β’ Translate business requirements into clear documentation (e.g. BRDs, user stories, process maps).
β’ Support early-stage testing and validation of AI-enabled features or tools.
β’ Act as the bridge between business users and technology teams throughout delivery.
β’ Ensure regulatory, compliance, and data privacy considerations are captured in all solutions.
