Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst - Data & Insights Location: Fully Remote Pay Rate: $30-50/hr. on a W2 basis Duration: 6+ month contract • • Not open to third parties • • We're looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong data orientation to support a fast-growing operation. In this role, you'll sit at the intersection of data, business strategy, and operational execution, turning complex information into insights that drive smarter decisions and more efficient processes. You'll partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support onboarding initiatives and ongoing operational activities. The right candidate is naturally curious, highly analytical, and energized by improving how work gets done-from initial analysis through implementation. Responsibilities: • Source, validate, and reconcile data from multiple systems and partners • Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities • Ensure data integrity through quality checks and ongoing monitoring • Develop dashboards, summaries, and visual outputs using Excel and data visualization tools • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable insights for leadership and stakeholders • Work cross-functionally to align data, processes, and business objectives • Capture and document business needs, identifying opportunities for optimization and automation • Help design, test, and roll out enhanced workflows, tools, and procedures • Balance multiple initiatives at once, managing competing timelines and priorities • Support evolving business needs with flexibility and a solution-oriented mindset Key Skills: • 5+ years of experience in an analytical role • Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical-thinking skills • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts clearly-both in writing and verbally • High level of organization with the ability to manage ambiguity • Hands-on experience with Excel and business intelligence tools such as Power BI • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across diverse teams • Steady and effective under pressure in fast-paced environments • Experience working in matrixed or highly cross-functional organizations • Ability to interpret data patterns and support informed decision-making • Solid understanding of how business processes and technology intersect • Quick learner who adapts easily to new tools and systems Nice to Have Experience • Background in insurance, retirement, or financial services • Exposure to Pension Risk Transfer initiatives • Experience with annuity products or related operations If interested, please apply and send an updated resume to Liam at Liam.Schmidt@oliverjames.
