Title: Data Engineer with Azure Location: 100% Remote Type: Contract Summary Objective • The Senior DevOps Engineer designs and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems to deploy applications to Cloud and On-Premises Server infrastructure. The position plays a central role in defining and implementing Dev Ops best practices throughout the organization. The position is highly visible and frequently collaborates with various levels of IT leadership. Essential Functions • Strategic Architectural Contribution: • Leads and drives architectural direction for establishing Dev Ops best practices in accordance with Client’s • strategic business objectives • Implements Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems for deploying solutions to the cloud and on-premises infrastructure at scale Systems Delivery • Implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems to meet market competitive needs • Leads the supports of Dev Ops systems to meet or exceed customer Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) expectations Leadership • Provides leadership and direction for Enterprise Dev Ops processes • Develops and implements plans to cross-train Engineering teams in Dev Ops processes, products, and technologies to develop high-availability • Creates and maintains successful partnerships with Engineering and QA teams Core Competencies • Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams • Leadership and passion for training and coaching other Dev Ops and Software Engineers • Knowledge of logical and physical system design • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Solid technical skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills Required Education & Experience • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in Computer Science or closely related field • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in setting up DevOps practices enterprise wide • Minimum of 3 years building Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery Systems • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience building and leading DevOps teams and deploying complex software • 3+4 years of experience working with modern source control tools like Github, Bitbucket, Azure Dev Ops Server, TFS, etc., • 3+4 years of experience with automated configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef • 3+4 years of experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Altassian Bamboo, TeamCity, Azure Dev Ops Server, etc. • 2-3 years of experience with Azure or AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes • 2-3 years of experience working in Scrum teams with planning, scoping, and creation of technical solutions for new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production
