Business Analyst – JIRA Preferred
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Contract: Long-Term
Eligibility:
Must be local to the Austin area and able to work onsite 2 days per week (hybrid schedule). Must be able to work on a W2 basis (no C2C, 1099, or third-party vendors). Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or visa transfer.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support enterprise-level technology initiatives focused on business process improvement, requirements gathering, and systems analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business process reengineering, requirements documentation, and stakeholder engagement, along with familiarity using JIRA for project tracking and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements and ensure clear communication throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Develop detailed business requirements, process flows, and system documentation.
• Participate in design and code reviews, unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Conduct data analysis and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Support project management activities including task prioritization, tracking, and reporting using JIRA or similar tools.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and technology enhancements.
Minimum Requirements to Be Considered:
• 8+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.
• 8+ years of experience in all areas of business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, and validation.
• 8+ years of experience supporting SDLC projects, including testing and quality assurance participation.
• 8+ years of experience managing multiple assignments and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of business process mapping, reengineering, and technology integration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and business audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with JIRA for task management, backlog tracking, and workflow documentation.
• Experience implementing or supporting case management systems.
• Prior experience serving as a liaison between business units and IT teams (architecture, project delivery, or application sustainment).
• PMP certification or project management experience a plus.
