Role description
Codeworks is an IT Services firm headquartered in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.
Location: Madison or Milwaukee, WI
Schedule: Hybrid (Tuesdays + 1β2 additional days/week in office)
Duration: Contract through 2026, high likelihood of renewal
Focus Area: Client-Facing Web & Mobile Portal (Private Wealth Management)
Summary
We are seeking a high-performing Mid or Senior-Level Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives for a client-facing web and mobile portal used within Private Wealth Management. This role requires a strong blend of analytical, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead without formal authority and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. The Business Analyst will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders, drive requirements gathering, support solution analysis, and contribute to high-impact digital client experience enhancements. This is a contract role through 2026 with a strong possibility for renewal based on performance.
Responsibilities
Elicit business and technical requirements using interviews, workflow analysis, workshops, and surveys.
Document business process descriptions, business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
Partner with developers, architects, and product owners to establish technical vision and assess usability/performance tradeoffs.
Analyze solution options against business needs and financial impact to recommend optimal solutions.
Maintain strong engagement with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleβfrom requirements through implementation.
Lead and facilitate sessions on requirements gathering, data analysis, and data modeling.
Support QA activities through collaboration with QA teams and validation with project teams.
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business partners, clients, vendors, and other testers using defined acceptance criteria.
Work with business units to define project milestones, requirements, and solution approaches.
Serve as a project manager on small projects, ensuring team alignment and scope clarity.
Qualifications
Demonstrated success working within Agile teams and frameworks.
Proven ability to write clear and complete business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
Strong understanding of data structures, data integration, and data warehousing.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to influence and lead without direct authority.
Exceptional detail orientation, organizational ability, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Strong team collaborator with a continuous improvement mindset.
Nice to Have: Experience with web applications, client-facing digital platforms, or working with UI/UX teams.
