Role description
Role Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst will work within the Technology, Strategy & Architecture division, enabling successful delivery of technology change initiatives. The role involves eliciting, analyzing, validating, and managing requirements, creating shared understanding across stakeholders, and supporting large-scale transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Elicit, analyze, and manage complex business requirements.
• Produce clear analysis artefacts (process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria).
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to validate solutions.
• Conduct impact assessments for proposed changes, identifying risks and dependencies.
• Support delivery teams with process mapping, data mapping, and documentation.
• Mentor colleagues on Agile principles and best practices.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Business Analysis Expertise:
• Requirements elicitation, analysis & management
• Process mapping, data mapping, and gap analysis
• Use of BA techniques (wireframes, use cases, data models)
Project Delivery Knowledge:
• Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Full software development lifecycle experience
Stakeholder Management:
• Strong facilitation and communication skills
• Ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups and uncertainty
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with BPMN 2.0 for process modelling
Domain Knowledge:
• Experience in financial/regulatory environments
• Exposure to payments-related projects
Qualifications:
• Degree-level education or equivalent
• Recognized BA certification (BCS BA Diploma, IIBA CBAP)
Desirable Skills:
• Awareness of business architecture principles and frameworks
• Experience in data management (data journeys, integration, migration)
• Knowledge of customer journeys and user research
• Exposure to scaled Agile within Waterfall environments
• Certification in Agile or DevOps
• Understanding of product and project management practices
