Business Analyst - Financial and IT Modeling & Analytics Hybrid - Washington DC - 2 or 3 days per week Job Description: Top 5 Technical Skills: • Excel • SQL • Python • R • Financial / Mortgage Background Job Description: supports credit risk forecasting, stress testing, and capital analytics under the guidance of senior analysts and managers. The role focuses on data preparation, validation, template reviews, and analytical support across regulatory (DFAST/MST) and internal forecasting exercises. This position provides foundational exposure to credit risk models, scenario analysis, and governance processes within a highly regulated financial environment. Skills: • Strong proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivots, basic data validation). • Familiarity with at least one analytical language: Python, R, and SQL. • Basic understanding of: Credit risk concepts, Forecasting and scenario analysis, Financial statements and capital measures. • High attention to detail and data accuracy. • Strong analytical thinking and problem?solving skills. • Clear written and verbal communication. • Ability to follow structured processes in regulated environments. • Willingness to learn complex financial models and governance standards. • Education/Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree in: • Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Data Science, or related field Benefits: SES hires W2 benefitted and non-benefitted consultants.
