Role description
e&e is seeking a Business Analyst for an onsite contract opportunity in Philadelphia, PA! We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle. This role is responsible for gathering and documenting business requirements, analyzing current processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into functional solutions. The Business Analyst will collaborate closely with project managers, technical teams, and business leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. Success in this role requires strong analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities • Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and success criteria. • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements. • Conduct stakeholder interviews, process reviews, and on-site observations to understand current business operations. • Analyze workflows and identify process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness. • Research and evaluate potential technical solutions, presenting recommendations supported by data and business analysis. • Assist in developing project roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and resource planning in collaboration with project management. • Translate complex business and technical concepts into clear, actionable documentation. • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical implementation teams. • Support project planning by identifying risks, maintaining risk documentation, and assisting with mitigation strategies. • Develop and maintain project metrics, dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using tools such as Jira. • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions and ensure user stories are well-defined and prioritized for Agile development. • Evaluate change requests and assess impacts to project scope, schedule, and budget. • Define user acceptance criteria and coordinate testing activities with technical teams. • Lead and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements before deployment. • Coordinate training efforts with business users and support teams to ensure successful system adoption. • Monitor post-implementation outcomes to validate that business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) have been achieved. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • Experience as a Business Analyst supporting technology or business transformation projects. • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements. • Knowledge of business process analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization. • Experience facilitating stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements gathering sessions. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and Jira. • Experience supporting project planning, risk management, and change management activities. • Knowledge of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and validation. • Ability to create reports, dashboards, and project metrics to communicate project health and performance. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
