Key Responsibilities:
β’ Engage with underwriters and senior business stakeholders to understand pain points, gather requirements, and translate these into clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
β’ Act as a Product Owner in agile squads where appropriate, managing and prioritising the product backlog to ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives.
β’ Facilitate workshops, interviews, and journey mapping sessions to elicit requirements and identify business value.
β’ Work with technical teams and solution architects to ensure feasibility and alignment with broader system architecture.
β’ Support UAT, including test case definition, coordination, and defect resolution.
β’ Collaborate with Change, Operations, and IT teams to ensure smooth delivery and stakeholder communication.
β’ Maintain a strong understanding of company market, and delegated authority processes.
Required Experience
β’ Extensive experience working in the London Insurance Market, ideally within a syndicate or carrier environment.
β’ Proven background as a Business Analyst, with a strong grasp of policy lifecycle, underwriting, and risk data
β’ Demonstrable experience acting as a Product Owner, ideally in agile/iterative delivery models.
β’ Strong stakeholder engagement skills β especially working with underwriters and underwriting operations.
β’ Skilled in writing Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria (e.g., using Jira/Confluence).
β’ Familiar with digital transformation, data-driven solutions, and system migration or integration projects
β’ Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations in insurance
