Role description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to support a high-impact Talent Operations team within a global organization. This role will play a key part in driving financial transparency, operational excellence, and strategic insights across talent programs. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in HR operations, finance, and data analytics, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This 12 month, 30 hr/week role requires candidates go onsite in Morristown, NJ a few times per month.
Key Responsibilities
Budget & Financial Execution
• Maintain and update trackers for talent budgets, forecasts, and reconciliations
• Support financial modeling and variance analysis to strengthen business cases
• Prepare detailed documentation for budget reviews and leadership visibility
• Manage procurement activities including PO creation, vendor tracking, and reconciliation against services delivered
Analytics & Reporting
• Partner with the Talent Optimization Lead to develop dashboards and reporting tools that highlight costs, investments, and ROI
• Consolidate inputs from Finance, Procurement, People Analytics, and HR into actionable summaries
• Assist in preparing data-backed materials for leadership planning and presentations
Business Case & ROI Support
• Build and refine financial models and ROI trackers for talent initiatives
• Conduct research and gather baseline data to support strategic case development
• Ensure accuracy and documentation of all inputs for review
Operational Support
• Assemble materials and slide decks for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and leadership forums
• Reconcile headcount and workforce cost data across multiple teams
• Monitor progress against operational KPIs and surface risks or dependencies
Continuous Process Execution
• Execute repeatable operational processes with precision
• Recommend and document process improvements
• Provide baseline data for benchmarking and supplier engagement optimization
Procurement & Vendor Execution
• Create and manage purchase orders (POs) and track lifecycle
• Reconcile services delivered against contract terms - Maintain vendor records and track contract renewals
• Prepare procurement summaries for leadership
Must-Have Experience
• 6+ years in HR operations, finance, or data analytics
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling)
• Experience with procurement systems (SAP, Coupa)
• Workday reporting experience
• Proven ability to monitor KPIs and identify risks
• Experience managing PO lifecycle and vendor reconciliation
• Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Experience
• Vizier and/or Power BI
• Background in biotech or pharmaceutical industries
• Prior experience in an HR department or Talent COE
