Overview of Position
The Business Analyst serves as a key link between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that initiatives align with organizational goals. This role focuses on analyzing processes, designing data-driven solutions, and supporting strategic decision-making to improve efficiency and outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights.
Essential Functions
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements.
β’ Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
β’ Develop business cases, project documentation, and workflow diagrams.
β’ Partner with IT and cross-functional teams to design and implement effective solutions.
β’ Facilitate meetings and workshops to ensure stakeholder alignment.
β’ Use data analytics to identify trends and support decision-making.
β’ Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track key metrics.
β’ Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide recommendations to leadership.
β’ Support training and change management activities for new systems or processes.
β’ Ensure data accuracy, compliance, and integrity across business systems.
β’ Perform other duties and project support as assigned.
Education & Certifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
β’ Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related) preferred.
β’ Professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, CCBA, PMP, or related) are a plus.
β’ Ongoing professional development and familiarity with current industry trends encouraged.
Experience
β’ 3β5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within a complex or regulated industry (healthcare, finance, technology, etc.).
β’ Demonstrated experience in process analysis, workflow optimization, and requirements documentation.
β’ Strong background in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (JIRA, MS Project).
β’ Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and systems integration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
β’ Proficiency in analytical tools such as Excel, SQL, or Power BI.
β’ Strong understanding of business systems, process mapping, and data workflows.
β’ Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
β’ Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
β’ Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
β’ Collaborative mindset and ability to build strong relationships across teams.
β’ Attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.
β’ Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.
