Job Title: Business Analyst II Job Description This role involves reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. The Business Analyst II will formulate systems that align with overall business strategies and write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Responsibilities • Review and analyze business systems and user needs. • Formulate systems to align with overall business strategies. • Write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions. • Oversee product capacity matching to third-party carriers in the North American space. • Demonstrate deep analytical skills in business projects, regardless of company size. • Deliver projects at scale. • Engage in requirement mapping to support metrics and insights needed by Project Managers. Essential Skills • Proficiency in SQL with strong core query skills. • Deep analytical skills, particularly in Excel, pivot tables, and dashboards. • Ability to map requirements to data for producing deliverables. • Fluency in data skills and dashboarding using tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or Power BI. • Experience managing large datasets and extracting insights. • Ability to work independently with minimal technical oversight. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. • Understanding of the trucking industry in the US is a bonus. • Experience in a pricing domain, such as with an airline or rail company, is advantageous. • Ability to work with structured data sets. • Not looking for a data engineer; focus on supporting business through reviews. • Ability to communicate and articulate how work translates to business outcomes. Work Environment This position is onsite in Nashville, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. There is a possibility for extension or conversion, but no guarantees are provided. However, there is a preference for individuals who can raise the bar. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Nashville, TN. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
