Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Beaverton, OR that is seeking a Business Analyst that enables organizations to maximize cloud technologies while ensuring compliance, security, cost efficiency, and operational excellence. This role bridges technical teams and business stakeholders to align governance strategies with policies, reduce risk, and drive standardization. The Business Analyst develops requirements, supports engineering in delivering governance capabilities, and fosters a culture of compliance and transparency. Responsibilities:
β’ Serve as liaison between the cloud governance team, platform/business owners, ServiceNow, CIS, and other stakeholders to ensure complete, documented requirements
β’ Define and document cloud infrastructure standards/rules with clear compliance detection and measurement criteria
β’ Partner with engineering to design policy-as-code for governance functions including detection, notification, and reporting
β’ Support the Cloud Governing Body with standard/rule documentation, approvals, communication, and lifecycle management
β’ Facilitate exception handling when standards cannot be met
β’ Coordinate with adjacent teams to ensure compliance data integration requirements are met
β’ Analyze dashboards/reports to identify compliance trends, inefficiencies, and risks; Present findings and recommendations to leadership
β’ Create and distribute guidance on governance principles, capabilities, and best practices
β’ Promote accountability, adoption, and continuous improvement in cloud governance
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
β’ 5+ years of progressive analytics and data visualization experience
β’ Proficiency in SQL for querying data for insights
β’ Familiarity with AWS cloud platform as it relates to data engineering and data science
β’ Familiarity with lucid or other diagramming software
β’ Ability to analyze complex data sets to extract meaningful insights
β’ Experience in data visualization tools like Databricks, Athena, or Tableau
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
β’ Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
β’ Experience with Confluence and Jira
β’ Experience using tools such as Excel, Database and Data Warehouse applications (postgress or some SQLdb, databricks or equivalent) and others to directly query, assess, and analyze data to meet business needs
The effectiveness of the Business Analyst (Cloud Governance) can be measured by:
β’ Successful implementation of governance policies/standards utilized across the organization
β’ Successful implementation of cloud governance platform capabilities as defined by platform/rule owners and cloud governance engineering team initiatives
β’ Successful delivery of data based metrics for decision making
β’ Positive feedback from stakeholders on cloud governance initiatives
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
