Role description
A client of Sharp Decisions if looking for a Business Data Analyst. This role is HYBRID in Torrance, CA- a multi-year contract with no end date, W2 only.
Daily Task Performed:
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements.
• Analyze business partners operations to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for process automation or enhancement.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
• Gather, refine, and validate complex business requirements, interdependencies, risks, and issues.
• Translate high-level requirements into detailed requirement specifications and user stories.
• Ensure requirements are clear, concise, and aligned with business goals.
Position Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS'
• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of technical or business experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to gather, organize, and interpret large data sets.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
• Basic understanding of database concepts and data modeling.
• Proficiency in testing especially validating data flows between source and target systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
