Job#: 3041067 Job Description: Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Business Analyst IT with a leading automotive manufacturing and supply chain organization. This role will support critical enterprise applications that drive parts distribution, warehousing operations, and inventory management across a large-scale environment. The selected candidate will serve as a Mainframe Systems SME, supporting both production systems and strategic technology initiatives while partnering with business and technical teams to deliver innovative solutions. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills: • 5-7+ years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or application development within enterprise IT environments. • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, CICS, JCL, IMS, VSAM, and DB2 . • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, performing functional and technical analysis, and creating detailed solution designs. • Experience supporting all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) , including requirements, design, development, testing, implementation, and production support. • Knowledge of solution architecture and enterprise application development across multi-tier and cross-platform environments. • Experience with .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and C# ; Angular experience is a plus. • Experience working within Agile and Waterfall project methodologies and collaborating with cross-functional business and technical teams. Responsibilities • Serve as the primary Mainframe Systems SME for application enhancements, maintenance, and project work. • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. • Develop detailed functional and technical designs to support business objectives. • Participate in development activities, testing, implementation, and post-production support. • Define architectural solutions that align with enterprise technology standards and business needs. • Provide project status updates, risk identification, and issue resolution support to project and team leadership. • Support production environments by troubleshooting incidents and implementing corrective actions. • Collaborate with stakeholders across business, operations, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions.
