Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst
Location:Β Β Chicago, IL 60606
Durations: 6-12+ Months with possible extension or conversion.
Job Overview:
This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to analyze current processes, identify gaps, document business and technical requirements, and recommend solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical requirements. This position requires someone who can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership while driving projects from requirements gathering through implementation.
Required:
β’ Proven experience in an analytics and systems development capacity
β’ High proficiency with SQL language and database management
β’ Proven analytical abilities Practical experience generating process documentation and reports
β’ Excellent communicator with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
β’ Experience working with Business Objects.
β’ Knowledge of ITIL Foundations.
Preferred:
β’ PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
β’ Experience supporting digital transformation, maintenance systems, operational technology, or enterprise software implementations within an airline environment.
β’ Familiarity with airline maintenance systems such as TRAX, AMOS, Maintenix, Ramco, or similar MRO platforms.
β’ Experience working with FAA regulatory requirements and airline operational compliance.
β’ Experience leading vendor-managed or system implementation projects.
Responsibilities:
β’ Create and implement precise management plans for every project with attention to transparent communication at all levels
β’ Perform evaluate and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development
β’ Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production to ensure maximum usability
β’ Partner with other stakeholder teams across business units i.e. sales finance security compliance to develop necessary analysis and documentation in a collaborative way communicating effectively and efficiently with production managerial and executive teams
β’ Evaluate analyze and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis and maintain systems processes including the delivery of monthly status reports to all appropriate parties Author and update internal and external documentation and formally initiate and deliver requirements and documentation
β’ Conduct daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot problems
β’ Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations
