Business Analyst IV

JustinBradley's client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst IV to join their Loan Sourcing Data Initiative (LSDI) team. In this role, you will support the migration and validation of underwriting data from multiple loan front-end systems into our AWS-hosted dimensional data warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and reliable data feeds that support hundreds of business reports used across the company. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, a deep understanding of data analysis within AWS environments, and the ability to bridge technical and business requirements effectively. Responsibilities • Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity during migration and ongoing operations. • Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate, reconcile, and analyze data between transactional systems and the data warehouse. • Create ad hoc Excel reports to support data troubleshooting and business insights. • Develop and maintain documentation such as source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and governance materials. • Respond to and prioritize multiple ad hoc data requests from various business stakeholders. • Communicate data insights clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with SQL, including writing, interpreting, and troubleshooting complex queries. • Proven experience working with AWS data services such as S3, RDS, and Redshift. • Strong background in data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis with large datasets. • Experience with mortgage or financial services data is highly desirable. • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation. • Understanding of data governance processes, including documentation of source-to-target mappings and data dictionaries. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences. • Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
