Role description
JustinBradley's client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking a skilled Business Analyst IV to join their Loan Sourcing Data Initiative (LSDI) team. In this role, you will support the migration and validation of underwriting data from multiple loan front-end systems into our AWS-hosted dimensional data warehouse. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and reliable data feeds that support hundreds of business reports used across the company. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, a deep understanding of data analysis within AWS environments, and the ability to bridge technical and business requirements effectively.
Responsibilities
β’ Collaborate with product owners, product managers, and data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy and integrity during migration and ongoing operations.
β’ Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate, reconcile, and analyze data between transactional systems and the data warehouse.
β’ Create ad hoc Excel reports to support data troubleshooting and business insights.
β’ Develop and maintain documentation such as source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and governance materials.
β’ Respond to and prioritize multiple ad hoc data requests from various business stakeholders.
β’ Communicate data insights clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
β’ Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment managing shifting priorities and multiple stakeholders.
Requirements
β’ Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with SQL, including writing, interpreting, and troubleshooting complex queries.
β’ Proven experience working with AWS data services such as S3, RDS, and Redshift.
β’ Strong background in data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis with large datasets.
β’ Experience with mortgage or financial services data is highly desirable.
β’ Familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
β’ Understanding of data governance processes, including documentation of source-to-target mappings and data dictionaries.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
β’ Ability to work independently and take ownership in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
