Role description
MUST HAVES:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Analytics/Information Systems/Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role in retail industry/environment.
• Retail/POS system knowledge.
• Experience developing/executing UAT script development.
• Familiarity with requirements gathering, SDLC, and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business stakeholders.
PLUSSES:
• Experience supporting retail, merchandising, sourcing, or supply chain analytics in a multi‑brand environment.
• Experience in Workday/SAP/SAP Commerce Cloud.
• Understanding of KPIs common to specialty retail, such as inventory turns, sell‑through, margin, and customer conversion
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst to work remote or hybrid in Dallas, TX/NYC/Akron, OH. This person will serve as the critical bridge between business users and technical teams during complex system migrations, translating retail operational needs into functional requirements for legacy system transitions.
This role requires hands-on creation and maintenance of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts using Jura, ensuring that critical retail functions like inventory tracking, point-of-scale transactions, and e-commerce integration perform correctly. This person will also guide business users through systems transitions and create detailed process documentation, as well as provide ongoing support as teams adapt to new technology platforms.
This position requires strong analytical skills to perform gap analysis between legacy systems and target platforms while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. The role operates in a fast-paced retail environment where system accuracy directly impacts store operations, inventory management, and customer experience, requiring meticulous attention to detail in requirements validation and testing coordination to ensure seamless business continuity during critical system transitions.
Daily Responsibilities:
• Requirements gathering and documentation expertise
• UAT script development and testing coordination
• Retail/POS system knowledge essential
• Jira proficiency for tracking requirements and test cases
• Strong communication skills with business stakeholders
Compensation:
$55/hr to $70/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
