Role description
Location: Freeport, Maine Job Type: Contract Compensation Range: $55 - 57 per hour We're looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team and support our Customer Engagement projects. In this role, you'll work with stakeholders and product owners to help define and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. This includes analyzing and documenting current business processes, recommending improvements, and developing the business and functional requirements for new technology solutions. You will serve as a key liaison between business and technology teams and begin to develop domain expertise in marketing areas such as email, customer acquisition, promotions, and analytics. Responsibilities: Build positive, constructive partnering relationships with product owners, key stakeholder groups, including senior leaders, and Technical Teams to establish and advance the business goals of projects, solutions, and products. Responsible for eliciting requirements using a variety of activities, facilitation techniques and tools from business case development to functional requirements, including User Stories, requirements backlog, visual references for workflows, and knowledge transfer meetings with team members. Identify gaps or inefficiencies between requirements and existing or proposed solutions to develop the MVP and phased delivery approach. Ensure effective data design by establishing the key questions that must be answered; how customers and business users need to interact with information. Apply domain and industry knowledge to help guide solution option analysis, working closely with technical teams. Through process analysis, identify improvements and technology impacts, and work with stakeholders to jointly develop ways to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness or improve product through the development process and project solution. Participate in user acceptance testing. Analyze user feedback and testing results, making prioritization decisions and recommendations for defect resolution, modifications, or new requirements. Participate in trade-off analysis, development of decision-making criteria and facilitation of decision meeting process, including presentation and discussions with senior leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of business analysis experience. Strong working knowledge of core business analysis functions (including business process analysis, roadmap development, requirement elicitation tools and techniques, e.g. JAD sessions, interviews, focus groups, workshop facilitation). Proven experience developing requirements and designs. Experience with Agile methods, including working directly with product owners to manage the backlog, including the creation, splitting and prioritization of stories based on outcomes. Experience with Agile workflow tools, JIRA and Confluence. Strong facilitator in large, cross-functional groups. Strong analytic and problem-solving skills. Strong oral and written communication skills. Experience with analytics tools, SQL and Office 365. Experience with web analytics required, GA 360 and GA4 preferred. Exhibits organizational savvy, business savvy, executive presence, thought partnership and ability to influence. Ability to work independently, multi-task and manage time effectively. Willing to cross train and contribute to the team to ensure the sprint commitment is completed. Flexible with regards to changing priorities and business needs. Ability to advocate for stakeholders and/or business objectives across both functional and technical domains to ensure fully vetted, well-reasoned decision making, taking into account multiple points of view and the ability to arbitrate and objectively evaluate competing requests across the enterprise.
