With more than 4,000 colleagues across the country, we support thousands of families every week through some of life’s most difficult and important moments. Our work spans funeral services, crematoria, pre-need planning, and increasingly, digital transformation. As we look to the future, we’re reimagining how care, trust, and legacy should look in the 21st century. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a company in transformation - and to shape meaningful, lasting change in a sector that truly matters. The Role We’re looking for a thoughtful and delivery-focused Technical Business Analyst to support the transformation of our funeral management systems and the rollout of our new core platform, Firehawk. You’ll be working within our Product and Innovation team, reporting to the Lead Product Manager, and partnering closely with finance, operations, and technical teams. This role is critical to ensuring that our new platform integrates seamlessly with financial processes and systems, helping us serve families with care, accuracy, and professionalism at scale. You’ll map current finance-related processes, identify integration requirements between systems, and support change across a complex, multi-site operational landscape. This is a hands-on, collaborative role that combines strong analytical skills with clear communication and a deep understanding of financial systems within changing technical environments. Key Responsibilities • Lead structured requirements gathering across finance and operational stakeholders to capture current processes, pain points, and system dependencies. • Document and validate business and technical requirements, ensuring traceability, clarity, and alignment with project milestones. • Support the design of system integrations between our new SaaS platform (Firehawk), financial tools, and interfaces like Firehawk Pay. • Contribute to UAT planning and execution, ensuring business requirements are fully tested and met. • Manage changes to scope or requirements, assessing business impact and supporting change control processes. • Be a subject matter expert on financial processes and systems across the programme lifecycle. • Support continuous improvement by identifying reusable approaches and maintaining up-to-date documentation. We’re Looking For Someone Who • Experience as a Business Analyst within IT or systems change programmes, ideally focused on finance or SaaS, ERP/CRM systems. • A strong understanding of financial processes and reporting structures within a complex organisation. • Hands-on experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, change management and stakeholder engagement. • A methodical and clear communicator with experience translating business needs into actionable technical requirements. • Familiarity with structured methodologies (Agile, Prince2, BABOK or similar). • Confident working across hybrid teams, including product, finance, engineering, and operations. • Willing to travel occasionally to sites across the UK as required. What We Provide To You… • Competitive Salary. • £4,000 Annual Car Allowance. • 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays. • BUPA Private Healthcare (Self). • Pension Scheme 4% Matched. • Life Assurance X4 Annual Salary. • Free On-Site Parking. • Access to our internal apprentice & personal development schemes. Behind every one of those services is a network of systems, tools, and processes that make it possible for our teams to deliver exceptional service every day. This role is about making those systems better - by understanding where we are, where we need to go, and how we get there. Your work will directly support our people to do their jobs more easily, accurately, and confidently - and ensure every family gets the care they deserve.
