Role description
2672 – Business Analysts - Scotland We’re looking for experienced IT Business Analysts to support the rollout of Microsoft Copilot and the delivery of related use cases. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders across the organisation, contributing to training materials, coordinating communications, and supporting adoption activities. We’re seeking Business Analysts who can confidently understand, challenge, and redefine business processes. Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform is beneficial but not essential. What you’ll do • Support the rollout of Microsoft Copilot, including delivery of use cases, coordination of training documentation, stakeholder communication, and adoption planning. • Work on Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog items to assess process viability for automation or agentic transformation, capturing requirements, acceptance criteria, and supporting test planning and execution. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand, challenge, and redefine existing processes to enable digital transformation and automation. • Perform proactive analysis of business processes and facilitate Business Process Management (BPM) workshops to identify improvement opportunities and gather requirements. • Deliver customer journeys and define user requirements during project definition and solution design phases. • Perform analytical activities such as process mapping, benefit realisation, and service improvements. • Lead formal and informal business engagement activities to ensure alignment and buy-in across teams. • Support the handover of projects to operations support, ensuring smooth transition and continuity. • Work with minimal supervision, using clearly defined processes and procedures. What to bring • Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and Power Platform is not required. • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with the ability to understand, challenge, and redefine business processes to support digital transformation. • Hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO) backlog items. • Proven expertise in business process modelling, facilitating BPM workshops, and driving process optimisation. • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate communications, lead workshops, and contribute to training and adoption materials. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships. • Highly motivated and self-reliant problem solver with a proactive, questioning approach. • Capable of making rational decisions under pressure and managing multiple priorities effectively. • Holds professional qualifications and/or practical experience in Business Analysis (IIBA), ITIL, PRINCE2, or Agile methodologies.
