Business Analyst

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join a digital solutions technology team responsible for building and enhancing large-scale enterprise platforms. This role is critical in supporting the design and delivery of applications that connect merchant processing with financial systems. You’ll work as part of a highly collaborative team, shaping requirements for a ground-up platform build that will serve as the foundation for future digital engagement. The Business Systems Analyst will manage feature requirements throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring that business needs are met, delivery timelines are achieved, and product quality is maintained. Responsibilities • Manage requirements across the feature lifecycle to ensure alignment with business goals. • Partner with product owners and stakeholders to refine business requirements into detailed technical specifications. • Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to define feature behavior, use cases, and cross-team dependencies. • Support defect triage and resolution alongside engineering and QA when issues arise. • Author detailed analysis and documentation in Confluence, maintaining clarity across the project. • Work directly with clients and internal teams to review functionality and address inquiries. • Ensure features are delivered on time, with reduced defects and strong stakeholder alignment. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 4–6 years of experience as a technical business analyst or product owner on large-scale projects. • Strong Agile background with experience working in cross-functional teams. • Proficiency with Visio or Miro for process and flow documentation. • Experience querying databases using SQL (Oracle and/or Snowflake). • Skilled in creating and managing tickets with Jira. • Experience authoring detailed analysis and requirements in Confluence. Bonus Qualification: • Exposure to cloud-based application builds (AWS). • Experience with payment processing requirements (credit/debit networks, ACH, prepaid, alternative payments). • Familiarity with microservices orchestration. • Strong background in content documentation and stakeholder communications. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Atlassian tools. • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Knowledge of project management and software development lifecycles. • Certifications or training in Agile, Scrum, or similar frameworks are a plus.
