Role description
6-12 month contract Hybrid - onsite 3 days/week Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst with strong ServiceNow expertise to support a complex Financial Services environment. This role will focus on optimizing IT service and operations processes while ensuring alignment with regulatory, risk, and governance requirements common to banking, insurance, and investment organizations. The ideal candidate excels at workflow optimization, process improvement, and partnering with technology and compliance stakeholders to deliver scalable, audit‑ready ServiceNow solutions. Key Responsibilities • Act as a trusted advisor and liaison between business, IT, risk, compliance, and ServiceNow technical teams • Gather, analyze, and document business and regulatory requirements and translate them into functional ServiceNow solutions • Drive optimization of end‑to‑end workflows while ensuring adherence to Financial Services governance and control standards • Lead analysis, configuration support, and enhancements for ServiceNow modules: • CMDB (Configuration Management Database) • ITAM (IT Asset Management) • ITOM (IT Operations Management) • ITSM (IT Service Management) • Support CMDB data governance, service mapping, and alignment with CSDM best practices • Identify automation and process improvement opportunities that reduce operational risk and improve efficiency • Ensure ServiceNow processes support auditability, traceability, segregation of duties, and data integrity • Collaborate with developers and architects to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable implementations • Facilitate workshops, backlog refinement sessions, and stakeholder reviews • Develop and maintain documentation including business process flows, user stories, functional designs, SOPs, and control artifacts • Support testing activities including UAT, validation, and audit readiness activities • Provide post‑implementation support and continuous improvement in line with regulatory expectations Required Qualifications • 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with significant experience supporting ServiceNow platforms • Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow modules: • CMDB • ITAM • ITOM • ITSM • Experience working within Financial Services (banking, insurance, asset management, or similar regulated environments) • Strong background in workflow optimization and process improvement • Solid understanding of IT service, asset, and operations management in a regulated environment • Experience translating regulatory, risk, and control requirements into System and process designs • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models Preferred Qualifications • ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS – ITSM, ITOM, ITAM) • ITIL v4 certification • Experience supporting audits, regulatory exams, or risk assessments • Familiarity with data privacy, access controls, and compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX, SOC, PCI, or equivalent) • Experience with ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, and integrations Skills & Competencies • Business and regulatory process analysis • Risk‑aware solution design • Workflow automation and optimization • Strong documentation and control mindset • Data governance and lifecycle management • Collaborative and consultative approach
