Role description
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Business Analyst to join their team. As a Business Analyst, you will be part of the Risk and Compliance department supporting cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Data Delivery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Charlotte, NC (S. Tryon) Pay Range: $55 Type: Contract Duration: 12-18 months Schedule: Hybrid 3x on site per week What's the Job? โ€ข Translate enterprise risk assessment frameworks into structured, executable requirements and delivery artifacts. โ€ข Lead workshops with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Product, Architecture, and Engineering to gather and consolidate inputs. โ€ข Review technical and functional designs to ensure alignment with risk scoring logic, heatmap calculations, and rating workflows based on the DERA operating model. โ€ข Validate non-functional requirements such as performance, security, accessibility, and data integrity, identifying compliance or design gaps early. โ€ข Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, including functional, regression, and data validation testing, ensuring scenarios meet acceptance criteria. What's Needed? โ€ข At least 4 years of experience in Information Technology supporting Business Services or equivalent experience through work, training, or education. โ€ข Strong understanding of risk methodology, including translating risk models into buildable solutions. โ€ข Proficiency in creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process flows, and Jira stories for engineering teams. โ€ข Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and consolidating stakeholder inputs. โ€ข Ability to challenge engineering decisions from a risk perspective and own data validation and testing processes.
