Responsibilities Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business Analyst in Tallahassee, FL. Primary Job Duties/Tasks The activities the candidate will be tasked with include, but are not limited to the following: • Research and understand FDOT business processes and their inter-relationships • Document and diagram business and system processes and dependencies between them • Research and document impacts on agency business systems in relation to the PALM implementation • Facilitate joint analysis workshops with the business units • Gather and document business and technical requirements as user stories in Azure DevOps and other tools • Manage backlog and work items using Azure DevOps • Coordinate with Development and QA teams • Develop Test Plans and Test Cases • Coordinate testing and quality assurance efforts Requirements • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Business Administration, Communication, Information Systems, or other related field is required; Equivalent work experience may substitute for the educational requirement • A minimum of 5 years of Business Process Analysis and systems analysis is required • Proficiency in process mapping/modeling with tools such as Visio is required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required • Proficiency in writing SQL Queries and performing Data Analysis is required The submitted candidate must be able to apply specific knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas: • Business Analysis: Skills in performing detailed research, business analysis, as-is and to-be analysis, process modeling; Use of software tools is required and include, but are not limited to, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, and Visio; Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is highly desired • System Analysis & Design: Skill in performing System Analysis and Design using a variety of modeling methodologies and techniques • Facilitation: Ability to expertly facilitate workshops and meetings with stakeholders • Technical Understanding: Technical knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure and software development practices and techniques • Project Management: Ability to apply principles and techniques in the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Additional • Advanced skills with Microsoft products: SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and Project • Ability to relate to stakeholders' needs, document their requirements, and perform duties in the absence of staff • Ability to receive and give constructive criticism and maintain effective work relationships with others • Ability to adjust to changing demands in a dynamic environment with diverse work assignments • Experience working with Microsoft DevOps is highly desired The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
