Business Analyst / Product Analyst
Location: London β 2β3 days on-site
Contract: Until 30 April 2026 (possible extension)
Rate: Highly competitive, inside IR35
Pattern: Full time
Join a leading financial institution and help drive strategic enhancements to its risk platforms. This VP-level role sits at the intersection of risk, technology and regulation, focusing on counterparty credit and market risk under Basel III/IV and ECB frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Translate business and regulatory needs into detailed product specifications for advanced risk systems.
β’ Lead development of analytics and reporting for MPE, CVA, VaR, sensitivities and stress testing.
β’ Ensure compliance with CRR, CRD, Basel III/IV, EMIR and internal risk policies.
β’ Collaborate with risk, modelling, compliance and technology teams to gather requirements and validate solutions.
β’ Contribute to agile delivery: backlog refinement, user stories and testing.
β’ Prepare documentation for ECB supervisory reviews, ICAAP and SREP.
β’ Monitor industry and regulatory developments to inform product enhancements.
Skills & Experience
β’ Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related discipline (preferred).
β’ Strong background in risk management, risk technology or product analysis within financial services.
β’ Deep understanding of counterparty credit and market risk concepts and European regulatory frameworks.
β’ Hands-on experience with agile delivery and risk systems (e.g. Bloomberg, Python, SQL).
β’ Excellent analytical, communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills.
β’ Prior experience in ECB-supervised institutions highly desirable.
