Role description
Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Lansing, MI (Hybrid – 2 days onsite/week, Tuesday & Wednesday preferred)
Duration: 6 Months (Possible extension up to 12 months)
Employment Type: W2 Contract
Required Skills:
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 1+ year of experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
• 1+ year of experience with Azure DevOps, including creating User Stories and queries.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Preferred Skills:
• 2+ years of experience working with grant management systems or government-funded programs.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating stakeholder meetings.
• Experience supporting end-user documentation and training.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
• Facilitate meetings with business users, technical teams, and external vendors.
• Create and manage User Stories and enhancement requests in Azure DevOps.
• Perform and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Maintain project documentation in SharePoint.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Track issues, communicate project updates, and support system enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Work Schedule:
• Hybrid work model (2 days onsite per week).
• No remote-only option.
• Local Michigan candidates are strongly preferred.
• Non-local candidates must be willing to relocate at their own expense and work onsite without delay.
Interview Process:
• 1st Round: Virtual interview via Microsoft Teams (video required; candidate should use a laptop and be prepared to share their screen if requested).
• 2nd Round: In-person interview in Lansing, MI (mandatory if selected).
