Business Analyst

Business Analyst | Data & Analytics | Fully Remote (UK Based Only) 📊 We're on the lookout for a Business Analyst to sit alongside our data engineering function and own the bridge between the business and the data. You'll be working in an environment where data comes from multiple source systems and needs shaping into something the business actually trusts. Your job is to define what "trusted" means: capturing requirements, mapping data end to end, and making sure what gets built reflects what the business genuinely needs. The role: 🔧 • Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into clear specifications for the engineering team • Map data flows across source systems and document lineage, definitions and business rules • Define data quality expectations and acceptance criteria, then validate delivered datasets against them • Work with source system owners to understand upstream data issues and their business impact • Support the design of reporting and semantic models by defining metrics, dimensions and how the business uses them • Own documentation, data dictionaries and definitions so knowledge does not sit with individuals • Support UAT and stakeholder sign-off on delivered data products You'll need: ✅ • Proven experience as a Business Analyst on data, analytics or BI projects • Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to read and write SQL well enough to interrogate data and validate outputs • Experience with data mapping, lineage and defining business rules • Comfortable working with imperfect data and ambiguous problems • Exposure to Power BI or similar reporting tools • Confident working independently and driving clarity where there isn't any Contract Details: 📋 • PAYE Contract • 12 Months • Remote, UK Based Only Please apply for immediate consideration.
