Role description
Power BI Developer (12 Month Fixed-Term Contract) | Fully Remote (UK) | £45,000
A UK organisation in the social housing space is looking for a Power BI Developer to join their reporting function during a post‑merger systems integration. You’ll take ownership of legacy Power BI reporting, deliver high-volume dashboard improvements, and help mature the organisation’s self‑service BI capability.
This is a UK-based, fully remote role, ideal for someone who enjoys turning stakeholder feedback into polished, production-ready dashboards.
The role
You’ll be working across existing reporting workspaces and datasets, focusing on fast-flow delivery rather than greenfield builds.
Key responsibilities
• Maintain and enhance existing Power BI reports (fixes, iterative improvements, stakeholder-driven updates)
• Build and refine dashboards using agreed templates/styles (strong visual and UX focus)
• Develop and maintain measures (DAX) and support data model improvements where needed
• Support Power BI Service best practice (workspaces, datasets, lifecycle/promoted datasets)
• Help rationalise reporting as systems are consolidated (semantic models, dataset lineage, source changes)
Core Skills Required
• Strong Power BI development experience (reporting + dashboard build)
• Solid DAX
• SQL
• Experience supporting and improving existing/legacy reporting estates
• Good stakeholder skills: able to interpret feedback and deliver “finished” outputs (not prototypes)
Nice to have
• Any experience with housing/asset management systems (e.g., MRI/One Housing, Dynamics 365, etc.)
Salary: £45,000 (some flexibility may be available)
Location: Fully remote (UK-based)
Contract: 12 Month Fixed-term contract (FTC)
Start: Remote interview 26th & 28th Aug - circa 2 week onboarding process
Why apply?
• High-impact role: dashboards are central to performance conversations across the business
• Interesting environment: post-merger integration, reporting consolidation, and service improvement
• Plenty of delivery: lots of hands-on Power BI development with real stakeholder engagement
