Business Analyst

Duration: 6+ Months Location: MO-Maryland Heights, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Business Analyst, you will join Turnberry's Business Transformation practice. Turnberry's Business Transformation practice is dedicated to diagnosing and addressing core business challenges including regulatory compliance, full-scale implementation, managing change and driving continuous improvement across transformation initiatives. Responsibilities • Conduct research and analysis to identify business problems, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements across legacy and cloud-based systems • Translate business needs into clear requirements for API-driven integrations and cloud-native solutions • Develop use cases, user stories, and business process models • Create detailed workflow diagrams using BPMN and related tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Gliffy, Mermaid) to represent current and future state processes • Support cloud migration efforts by documenting existing system behavior, dependencies, and business logic • Partner with technical teams to define API requirements, data flows, and integration points between systems • Conduct feasibility studies, impact analysis, and risk assessments related to system changes and migrations • Develop business cases and recommendations to support strategic decision-making • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet business needs and are feasible within technical constraints • Provide ongoing support through implementation, including validation, UAT support, and post-launch analysis • Stay current with industry trends, including cloud technologies, integration patterns, and process optimization best practices Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field • 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex systems and processes • Experience working in cloud migration or digital transformation initiatives • Familiarity with API concepts, system integrations, and data flow modeling • Proficiency in process modeling and workflow diagramming (BPMN strongly preferred) • Experience with tools such as Lucidchart, Gliffy, Mermaid, or similar • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across technical and non-technical teams • Understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) • Exposure to middleware or integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi) • Experience supporting API documentation and lifecycle management • Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools • Experience working with cross-functional teams in large, complex system environments The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $95,000 or the hourly equivalent.
