Role description
DataStaff, Inc. is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity with one of our direct clients in Raleigh, NC. β€’ This position is onsite β€’ β€’ LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY β€’ β€’ Responsibilities: β€’ Perform accessibility testing on websites, web applications, and digital documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). β€’ Evaluate compliance with ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA standards. β€’ Use manual and automated testing tools, including assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, ZoomText, NVDA). β€’ Document findings and provide clear, actionable remediation guidance. β€’ Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to resolve accessibility issues. β€’ Assist with code-level remediation of accessibility defects when applicable. β€’ Remediate and convert digital documents into accessible formats. β€’ Promote accessibility best practices and support integration of accessibility into the software development lifecycle. β€’ Maintain documentation and compliance reports. β€’ Stay current with evolving accessibility laws, standards, and technologies. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). β€’ Experience in public sector or regulated environments. β€’ Experience remediating PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro. β€’ Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. β€’ Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as Axe, WAVE, Lighthouse, or Accessibility Insights. β€’ Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards and best practices. β€’ Ability to analyze complex systems and identify compliance gaps. β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills. β€’ Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. β€’ Strong attention to detail and commitment to inclusive design. Required Skills: β€’ 3 Years - Demonstrated experience working with WCAG 2.1/2.2 and Section 508 standards β€’ 3 Years - Demonstrated experience in digital accessibility testing and remediation. β€’ 3 Years - Experience testing with assistive technologies such as JAWS, ZoomText, or NVDA β€’ 3 Years - HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript sufficient to support accessibility remediation efforts. β€’ 3 Years - ADA, Section 508, and WCAG 2.1/2.2 Level AA standards β€’ 3 Years - Accessibility testing on websites, web applications, and digital documents (PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint β€’ 3 Years - Use manual and automated testing tools, including assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, ZoomText, NVDA). β€’ 3 Years - Code-level remediation of accessibility defects when applicable β€’ 3 Years - Remediate and convert digital documents into accessible formats Desired Skill: β€’ Professional certification such as CPACC (Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies) or WAS (Web Accessibility Specialist). This position is available on a corp-to-corp basis or as a W2 position with a competitive benefits package.
