Position: Business Analyst
Duration: 6 Months (with possibility of extension)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support the enhancement and maintenance of a grant management application used for administering federal funding programs. This role serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendor partners to ensure successful delivery of system enhancements and operational support.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gathering business requirements, conducting user acceptance testing (UAT), creating end-user documentation and training materials, and leading cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
• Facilitate meetings with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external consultants.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for business users regarding application issues.
• Communicate issue status, resolutions, and project updates to stakeholders.
Operational & Technical Liaison
• Manage and prioritize operational support requests and enhancement tickets using Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with technical teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
Leadership & Team Coordination
• Lead and mentor business analysts.
• Delegate tasks and ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Facilitate business requirement gathering sessions with both technical and business teams.
Documentation & Knowledge Management
• Maintain project documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Ensure process changes, business decisions, and technical documentation are accurate, current, and accessible.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• 2+ years of experience working with grant management systems or government-funded programs.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership experience in cross-functional environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft Office applications.
