Business Analyst

Business Solutions Analyst We're looking for an experienced Business Solutions Analyst to join our team and drive business process improvements through effective requirements gathering, systems analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating business needs into technical solutions while working across cross-functional teams. Responsibilities • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, technical, and system requirements. • Lead requirements elicitation sessions with business stakeholders and technical teams. • Create and maintain business analysis artifacts including: • Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) • Functional Specifications • User Stories • Use Cases • Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTMs) • Process flows (As-Is/To-Be) • Apply SDLC methodologies throughout the project lifecycle. • Evaluate existing business processes and recommend process improvements. • Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, and project managers to deliver business solutions. • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scripts, and provide production support. • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and training materials. • Facilitate workshops, JAD sessions, and stakeholder meetings. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of experience in IT projects with business systems analysis. • 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis and design. • 4+ years of hands-on experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, user, and system requirements. • Strong experience creating requirements documentation, including RTMs, user stories, use cases, and process diagrams. • 5+ years of experience working directly with stakeholders and end users, including executive-level communication. • Excellent analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience improving business analysis methodologies and requirements management processes. • Experience developing training materials and delivering end-user training. • Experience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) or similar workshops. • Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Experience with Project Approval Lifecycle (PAL) or similar governance frameworks. • Experience writing functional design specifications and leading business analysis activities. • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Scrum ceremonies. • Experience creating RTMs, process maps, test scripts, and leading UAT. • Experience with data conversion and migration projects. • Experience supporting large-scale government IT projects valued at over $5 million is highly preferred.
