Job Title: Business Analyst – Majesco PAS & Billing Job Type: Contract (W2) Start Date: ASAP Duration: 1 Year (with potential for extension) Work Location: Madison, WI Work Schedule/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day (standard business hours) Compensation: $65.00 to $75.00 per hour Overview: Our client is a global consulting and professional services organization supporting enterprise-scale technology transformation initiatives across highly regulated industries, including insurance and financial services. This role will support a commercial insurance platform initiative focused on policy administration and billing modernization. The Business Analyst – Majesco PAS & Billing will serve as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, supporting enhancements and implementations across the Majesco platform. This role requires strong commercial insurance domain expertise, hands-on experience with Majesco PAS and Billing, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technical deliverables. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within Agile delivery environments. Responsibilities: • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Majesco PAS and Billing modules. • Support commercial insurance policy lifecycle processes including new business, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations. • Support billing operations including invoicing, payments, commissions, and disbursement workflows. • Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria. • Collaborate closely with development, QA, product, and business teams throughout the software development lifecycle. • Support system integrations, data mapping, and migration efforts across insurance platforms. • Conduct gap analyses to identify process improvements and system enhancements. • Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect tracking and triage. • Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams to ensure successful implementation outcomes. • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain documentation within Jira and Confluence. Required Qualifications: • High school diploma (or GED) required. • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting the Majesco platform. • Hands-on experience with Majesco Policy Administration System (PAS) and Majesco Billing required. • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance processes including underwriting, policy administration, and billing workflows. • Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements (BRD/FRD). • Experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence. • Strong SQL and data analysis skills. • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately once per month). Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree preferred. • Majesco platform certification preferred. • Experience supporting Majesco implementations or platform configuration projects. • Experience with APIs, web services, and system integrations. • Knowledge of reinsurance, claims processing, or downstream insurance reporting. • Prior experience within consulting or enterprise insurance technology environments.
