Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support initiatives within the healthcare technology sector, focusing on Medicaid IT Services. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical, documentation, and technical coordination skills, along with hands-on experience supporting system enhancements, migrations, and change management processes in complex enterprise environments.
This position requires a self-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and can communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements to support Medicaid IT initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze needs, define project scope, and ensure alignment with operational goals.
• Coordinate with configuration management and development teams on software upgrades, release planning, and testing support.
• Participate in quality assurance activities related to system upgrades and enhancements.
• Utilize BMC Footprints for tracking, monitoring, and managing issues or requests.
• Support change control and migration activities through tools such as ChangeMan and Translator Tool.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, project artifacts, and reports to support governance and compliance requirements.
• Communicate effectively across business and technical teams to facilitate issue resolution and ensure clear understanding of project deliverables.
• Contribute to operational improvement efforts and assist with onboarding and knowledge transfer for new team members.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of experience with Medicaid IT Services
• 5+ years of experience with the ChangeMan Tool
• 2+ years of experience with the Translator Tool
• 5+ years of experience with BMC Footprints ticketing system
• 3+ years of experience with QA testing (upgrades)
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
Preferred Skills
• SQL knowledge for data analysis and validation
• Experience with Mainframe environments
• Familiarity with COBOL systems
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required
